York Electric Cooperative promotes safety as top priority
Safety is top-level priority at your cooperative. It permeates the entire organization. Safety is ingrained in the fabric of York Electric's system so it continues to be a natural part of everyone's daily routine. Safety is paramount because it protects employees and members alike.
York Electric has a prestigious Safety Award Program. The criteria for winning the annual award is a comprehensive assessment. Denny Lynn, Director of Engineering and Operations, affirms that all employees take proactive measures to make safety a true prerequisite to everything else. "When all of our employees go home safe each day throughout the year, we all win."
 Employees who work in the office and other facilities and have good safety records are eligible for the Safety Award. The 2007 recipient of the award is Shari Propst (left), Senior Member Services Representative - Billing Department.
