Appalachian Blue to perform during annual meeting
 Appalachian Blue, a progressive contemporary/traditional bluegrass band, will perform during York Electric Cooperative's Annual Meeting Saturday, the 10th of May.
The quartet combines high-energy instrumentals, tight four-part harmonies and homespun humor to delight festival and concert audiences of all ages. The band's repertoire includes rock and roll, beach music and Motown, all with a bluegrass twist, as well as traditional and contemporary bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. Appalachian Blue has performed on TV and at festivals and concerts throughout the southeast for more than 20 years.
Appalachian Blue's four musicians have more than 100 years of combined professional performance experience. They have recorded and performed extensively with acts such as Reba McIntire, Steve Warner, Lee Greenwood, Grandpa Jones, and George "Goober" Lindsay of Andy Griffith and Hee Haw fame.
Appalachian Blue's CD, Out of the Barn, and their featured performance on ETV's Bluegrass Express are propelling this unique band into a new level of visibility on the southeastern music scene. Come see them perform 9 a.m. until noon during your cooperative's Annual Meeting.
