 York Electric Cooperative has launched a program, Co-op Connections, which offers further proof that being a member of an electric co-op has its advantages. Each member recently received a Co-op Connections discount card, which entitles our members to discounts with participating national and local businesses and pharmacies.

A key benefit of Co-op Connections is 10- to 60-percent savings on most prescriptions at more than 56,000 independent pharmacies and national chains including CVS, Walgreens, Wal-mart, Target and more. York Electric Cooperative is implementing this program in conjunction with many other Touchstone Energy cooperatives, in an effort to better serve our members. With many members not able to afford insurance coverage — and with prescription prices soaring — it is our hope that this discount pharmacy program will be a great benefit for your family.
 You get your Co-op Connections card free, simply because you're a member of York Electric. Once you sign the back of the card, it may be used at participating pharmacies locally and nationwide as well as participating local, regional and national businesses. To find out which pharmacies are participating and to look up the discount prescription price, co-op members can access rxpricequotes.com. To find out the local participating businesses visit our Web site. We encourage you to visit our site often because updates will be made periodically.
Simply present your Co-op Connections card at a participating pharmacy with your prescription and receive a discount at the time of purchase. Whenever a Co-op Connections card holder — whether from York Electric Cooperative or from any of the other participating Touchstone Energy cooperatives across the country — shows his or her card, she/he will receive a 10- to 60-percent discount on most prescriptions. Nationwide, members have saved more than $6.7 million on prescriptions.
When you are shopping locally, look for the Co-op Connections stickers in windows of area businesses. Show your Co-op Connections card and get valuable discounts from participating businesses.
