Local, regional discounts now available to you

 In mid-May, Co-op Connections cards and key fobs were mailed to all York Electric Cooperative residential members. These cards are similar to those one can receive from supermarket chains. When a York Electric member presents the card at a participating business, he or she will be awarded a discount. This isn't a coupon. It is a card that can be used over and over to obtain discounts. Use your free Co-op Connections card at participating businesses on every-day items and save! Plus, you can save 10 to 60 percent on prescriptions at participating pharmacies.*

York Electric has more than 40 local and regional businesses and restaurants, auto shops, furniture stores, produce stands, skydiving adventures and more. The owner of local restaurant The Concord Cove, Johnny Funderburk, himself a member of York Electric, said he had three customers use their discount cards within a few days after he received his in the mail. Touchstone Energy, a national alliance of more than 680 electric co-ops has also recruited more than 60 premier national companies such as Best Western, Motel 6, Avis Car Rental, Barnes&Noble.com, Liz Claiborne, Anna's Gourmet Goodies and many others to offer co-op members discounts. Use the card at any participating business. The card is good anywhere you see the Co-op Connections Card sticker — whether you are at home or traveling across the country.
