Convenient YEC bill payment options

York Electric is serving up convenience to you, our members.

  • YEC Payment Options GraphicBank Draft
The easiest way to do business with YEC. You'll still receive a monthly statement, but you'll never have to write another check to pay your electric bill or worry about the payment slipping your mind. Call (803) 684-4248 or read this.

  • Levelized Billing
For qualified members, YEC can average the monthly electric bill into a more predictable amount. Each bill is the rolling average of your electric usage for the most recent 12 months. For instance, this month's bill would be the average electric usage of the previous 11 months, plus this month. There's no sign-up fee or monthly service charge. Participating members must keep their accounts current. To qualify, members must:

      1. Have and continue to maintain
        acceptable credit

      2. Have a zero balance on your account

      3. Be a YEC member for one year at
        current residential service location, and

      4. Pay bill by original due date each
        month.

Combining Levelized Billing with Bank Draft offers the simplest, hassle-free way to pay and budget for service.

  • E-Check and Telelink
Pay your bill securely by simply entering your checking account and bank routing numbers when you use YEC's Telelink system. With Telelink, you can pay your YEC bill at your convenience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To use Telelink, you need your YEC account number. When you have it in hand, call 1 (866) 374-1234, a toll-free number. With Telelink, paying by e-check is just one of several payment options. Telelink also allows you to check your account information, including current balance and amount due and recent payments.

  • E-Bill Notification
Sign up for E-Bill Notification, and we'll send you a monthly e-mail and link to pay or view your bill online. Access yorkelectric.net for an online enrollment form.

YEC also offers special programs for senior citizens and other members with special needs:

  • Senior Advantage
Senior Advantage helps members who rely on monthly Social Security or disability checks. Participating members' meters are read on a normal cycle but billing is put on a deferred cycle, making your payment due after your check arrives. The alternative due dates are on the 8th or the 22nd of each month.

  • Third-Party Notification
This free service is offered by YEC as a safety net, allowing a designated third party to be notified should a loved one's electric bill become past due or be subject to disconnection.

One other special program and two tried-and-true methods round out YEC's payment options.

  • Invoice Billing
Great for school districts, apartment buildings and other accounts with multiple meters. Invoice Billing may allow you, depending on whether or not your accounts are on multiple cycles, to put all your accounts on one bill.

  • By Mail
You can mail your check or money order, credit or debit card information to: York Electric Cooperative, P.O. Box 150, York, SC 29745. Include your payment stub or a note with your account number. Do not mail cash! YEC cannot be responsible for lost or stolen cash.

  • In Person
Cash, personal check, credit/debit card, money order or cashier's check accepted at any YEC office, including: 1385 East Alexander Love Hwy., York; 2089 Hwy. 21 Bypass, Fort Mill; and 580 North Anderson Road, Rock Hill. Drive-through or walk-in service is available during business hours, and night deposit is available 24/7.
