We're #1 S.C. Co-op members top the nation in pharmacy savings
 The Co-op Connections Discount Program is part of YEC's efforts to help members save money. We're happy to report that it's working well. According to Touchstone Energy, South Carolina electric co-ops are No. 1 in the country in total member savings using the Co-op Connections card for pharmacy discounts. Statewide, total member savings topped $2 million in March. The closest competitor is Georgia with $1.6 million.
Here's the top five:
- South Carolina: $2.1 million
- Georgia: $1.6 million
- Texas: $1.5 million
- Oklahoma: $1.4 million
- North Carolina: $1 million
 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, a national alliance of more than 680 independent, consumer-owned electric co-ops, initiated Co-op Connections in May 2007. Members of YEC and 282 other participating Touchstone Energy co-ops nationwide have saved more than $16 million on prescription drugs since then. The Co-op Connections pharmacy discount program offers savings of 10 to 60 percent on prescriptions at more than 48,000 locations nationwide, including such giants as Walmart and Walgreens.
Aside from medications, members can also save on goods and services with their card. For instance, if you're planning a summer vacation, you can save at hotels, motels and amusement parks around South Carolina, the Southeast—and beyond!
