Co-op students go to Washington

Two York County students will be among more than 1,400 high school juniors visiting Washington, D.C., during June 9-14 for the 43rd Rural Electric Youth Tour, sponsored by York Electric Cooperative and hundreds of other electric cooperatives across the country.

Tina M. Adams from Clover High School and Kasey M. Stewart from Fort Mill High School will represent YEC on the 2007 tour this summer.

Tina will pursue a career in the medical field as a pediatrician. She is the daughter of Betty & Sammy Adams.	Kasey has future plans to become a US Air Force Officer. She is the daughter of Mrs. Dawn Stewart.

All high school juniors are eligible to apply for the two positions York Electric sponsors on the Youth Tour. Applications for the 2008 tour, scheduled for June 14-19, will be announced on this website and in Living in South Carolina magazine.
