My consignment shop has been open for less than a year and the Co-op's Connection Card Program is a "win win"  situation; I'm getting new customers and YEC members have the opportunity to save money. It's a great value! Myra Hooper, the owner of Best Friend's Closet, which is a ladies consignment store located at 43A North Congress Street in York, participates in York Electric's Connection Card Program. She offers YEC members a 15% discount on Fridays on regular priced items. Myra enjoys helping ladies select suits and accessories to go on job interviews and she offers an alternative to full price retail with some high end goods also. Myra encourages other local businesses to join the co-op program so they can benefit from it too.

• All York Electric members receive two free Co-op Connections cards, key fobs and a list of participating local and national businesses.
  
  
• This program gives participating businesses exposure to our 43,000 accounts and millions more served by our fellow Touchstone Energy cooperatives.
  
  
• A list of participating businesses is provided to all York Electric members. These businesses are also posted on the Web here and here.
  
  
• Co-op members are encouraged to shop at participating businesses through promotions published in South Carolina Living magazine, our e-newsletter and website.
  
  
• The card features York Electric's important contact information and website.

Here's how the card works: All York Electric members automatically receive Co-op Connections cards! When they show the card at any participating business, they receive a discount. It's that easy. All participating businesses have the choice to opt out of the program at the end of every year.
