Member Services

York Electric's Member Services Department has been organized to provide our member-owners with fast and friendly assistance in a wide range of areas. These include establishing new service, making changes to existing service and getting answers to questions about billing or any of the programs we offer. Each member services representative has been extensively cross-trained in all of our departments. There are eleven representatives available — 7 at our main office, 2 at our branch office in Fort Mill and 2 at our branch office in Rock Hill.

When calling to request service of any kind, other than an initial connect, it is not just helpful, but more efficient, to have pertinent information on hand, ready to supply to member services representatives who will take your call. Such information includes:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Social Security number
  • Account number

Having this type of information ready BEFORE calling will help ensure your call is processed quickly and correctly.

The Fact Act Legislation requires the account holder to provide identification prior to YEC employees conveying any account holder information either by phone or in person. Please help us better serve you by having your account number, and any other necessary documentation for identification purposes, with you when you inquire about your account. This is just another way YEC is looking out for you.
