Youth trips

Wash­ing­ton Youth Tour: June 14–19, 2026 (for high school juniors)

Imag­ine spend­ing a week in Wash­ing­ton, D.C., explor­ing the nation’s cap­i­tal with more than 1,600 stu­dents from across the coun­try. As a Wash­ing­ton Youth Tour del­e­gate, you’ll:

• Tour icon­ic land­marks like the Lin­coln Memo­r­i­al, the U.S. Capi­tol and the Smith­son­ian muse­ums.
• Par­tic­i­pate in lead­er­ship work­shops and meet with law­mak­ers.
• Expe­ri­ence the rich his­to­ry and cul­ture of our nation first­hand.

This all-expens­es-paid trip is an unpar­al­leled oppor­tu­ni­ty to grow as a leader and gain a deep­er understand￾ing of our gov­ern­ment. Apply online at by Mon­day, Feb. 9, 2026.

Coop­er­a­tive Youth Sum­mit: July 13–16, 2026 (for high school sopho­mores)

For high school sopho­mores, Coop­er­a­tive Youth Sum­mit offers an excit­ing jour­ney to South Car­oli­na’s State­house and cap­i­tal city. Dur­ing this trip, you’ll:

• Tour the State­house and meet with law­mak­ers.
• Learn about the role of coop­er­a­tives in shap­ing the ener­gy future of our state.
• Engage in team-build­ing activ­i­ties and lead­er­ship exer­cis­es.

This sum­mit is a fan­tas­tic way to devel­op lead­er­ship skills and gain insight into the coop­er­a­tive busi­ness mod­el. Apply online by Mon­day, Feb. 9, 2026.

Scholarships

YEC is com­mit­ted to help­ing build a brighter future for our youth. Each year, we award:

• Five $3,000 Touch­stone Ener­gy Schol­ar­ships to grad­u­at­ing high school seniors. Appli­cants must be mem­bers of YEC to apply.
• One $3,000 Tech­ni­cal Advan­tage Schol­ar­ship to a local grad­u­at­ing senior attend­ing a tech­ni­cal col­lege. Appli­cants do not have to be mem­bers of YEC to apply.

These schol­ar­ships are designed to help ease some of the finan­cial bur­den that comes with pur­su­ing high­er edu­ca­tion. Apply online by Mon­day, March 16, 2026.
