Working with contractors in our service area

At York Elec­tric Coop­er­a­tive, we’re com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing safe, reli­able elec­tric ser­vice to our mem­bers. To help us main­tain and improve our sys­tem, we part­ner with trust­ed con­trac­tors who per­form work through­out our ser­vice ter­ri­to­ry.

These crews are an impor­tant exten­sion of York Elec­tric. Whether they’re build­ing new lines, main­tain­ing exist­ing infra­struc­ture or inspect­ing equip­ment, they are work­ing on our behalf and to our stan­dards.

What members should know

When you see crews work­ing in your area, you may notice that some are not direct York Elec­tric employ­ees. How­ev­er, these con­trac­tors:

› Are autho­rized by York Elec­tric Coop­er­a­tive

› Fol­low prop­er safe­ty and ser­vice stan­dards

› Car­ry prop­er iden­ti­fi­ca­tion

› Often wear com­pa­ny uni­forms and oper­ate clear­ly marked vehi­cles
