Right-of-way schedule

A group of ten people stand in front of a utility truck with "YEC" branding, under a metal structure. A tower is visible.Like reliable electric service, trees are a valuable resource: they beautify our communities, cool our homes, provide privacy and even increase property value. However, trees and power lines don’t mix. That’s why YEC follows a five-year rotation right-of-way (ROW) schedule.

Overgrown trees can cause power outages, damage equipment and even lead to serious accidents if limbs or people come into contact with energized lines. By clearing ROW, YEC protects you and our employees, prevents outages and meets national safety standards that help ensure electricity is delivered safely to your home.

Currently, our crews are working in the Gold Hill area and expect to complete this work by the end of August. From there, we’ll begin ROW maintenance in the Oakridge area, and this will be our focus until the end of 2025. To view the schedule and affected roads, please view our online ROW map.

As always, we appreciate your patience and support as we work to keep your service safe and reliable.
