New outage text number effective Nov. 2

A small change is com­ing to York Electric’s text ser­vices!

Start­ing Nov. 2 at 9 a.m., mem­bers who use text mes­sag­ing to inter­act with York Elec­tric should text (866) 374‑1234, the same num­ber as our 24-hour Pow­er­Touch Out­age Report­ing Sys­tem. This will replace the cur­rent text code, 352667.

Mem­bers can use Pow­er­Touch Text to report an out­age, receive alerts, check their account bal­ance, pay their bill and more. Text the fol­low­ing prompts to inter­act with your co-op: JOIN, START, STOP, BAL (bal­ance), PAY, OUTAGE or CALL.

Just make sure the mobile num­ber you’re tex­ting from is on file with your York Elec­tric account. Mes­sage and data rates may apply. Read more about the change and Pow­er­Touch Text here.
